Need for continuing CSAT in Civil Services Selection Process

News - angry civil service aspirants want the roll back of CSAT in civil services prelims and collided with police, pelt stones and torch vehicles.

So the hooligans who pelt stones, torch public properties are civil service aspirants!! India is doomed...

What is civil services exam?

These exams are part of the selection process followed by the UPSC (union public service commission) to select suitable candidates for civil services.

What are civil services?

Services associated with the governance of the nation like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc falls under civil services. There are 24 services that are identified as civil services.

What is CSAT?

The civil services exam has three stage.
1) prelims
2) mains
3) interview.

The prelims has two papers.
i) general studies
ii) CSAT.
CSAT - Civil services aptitude test.
It covers comprehension, interpersonal skills, logical reasoning, analytical ability, decision making, problem solving, general memtal ability along with english language comprehension skills. Before CSAT, the pattern was general studies and a optional paper (like botany, geography, civil engineering etc. )

The 8 questions under english comprehension part in the CSAT paper of prelims donot have negative marks for wrong answering.. they can be removed No objection. The CSAT Paper can be printed in all notified languages. No problem.

The problem is when people ask for scrapping CSAT. the other 72 questions are necessary as they filter such "hooligans" from real service aspirants.. India needs even tough aptitude filters as these hooligans only intend to loot public money and donot see civil services as a option to serve the nation...

A real aspirant like me (i work, earn, look after my family and read through the free time i get) will never have a chance to get pass through the prelims which has a optional paper. Majority who cleared prelims with optional papers study in the coaching centers!! They go to a school and read only the syllabus and the material provided by the centera and practice on repeated questions.. will botany as a optional paper radically change every year? Or are they going to ask about the geography of mars one year and that of venus the next year? But in CSAT, i a tax payer and those many who take up the reaponsibility of supporting their family, those who cannot afford the maney to go to cities and study in coaching centers and those many professionals will have a level playing field and the services will have the opportunity of selecting people with varied domain experiences and world knowledge rather than the coaching center products. Past two years i witnessed many practiaing doctors, engineers, working professionals appearing in the mains.. the experience, knowledge, culture they bring in is enormous. India needs more responsible people rather than people good in mugging up..

The best way forward is to increase the scrutiny in CSAT, eliminate the optional paper in Mains, introduce psycological tests and select post specific candidates.

CSAT should not be scrapped.

சாராயத்தை குடும்ப அட்டையில் சேர்க்க வேண்டும்!!

இப்ப தேர்தல் நேரம்கிறதால குடி குடியைக் கெடுக்கும்னு கூப்பாடு போடுறவங்களாம் டாஸ்மாக்க மூடுங்கனு கூப்பாடு போடுறாங்க... அரசும் விற்பனை நேரத்தக் குறைக்கிறோம், பாதிக் கடைகள மூடுறோம்னு கோயபெல்ஸ்கள கட்டவிழ்த்துவிட்டிருக்கு... என்ன செய்யலாம்? டாஸ்மாக்க மூடிடலாமா? பூரண மதுவிலக்க அமல்படுத்திடலாமா? 

டாஸ்மாக்க மூடி பூரண மதுவிலக்க அமல்படுத்துனா என்னாகும்? ஒன்னு நிச்சயமா நடக்கும்... பாண்டியிலும், காரைக்காலிலும், பெங்களூரிலும், கேரளக் கள்ளுக் கடைகளிலும் விறபனை ராக்கெட் ஏறிடும் அவ்வளவுதான்... அப்பறம் கள்ளச்சாராயம் காய்ச்சுறது குலத்தொழிலாகிடும்... 

என்னோட கருத்து என்னன்னா, சாராயம் குடிக்கிறது தனிமனித உரிமை. அத தடுக்க முடியாது!! ஆனா, அந்த தனி மனிதனுக்கு எவ்வளவு சாராயம் கிடைக்கனும்னு நாம தீர்மானிக்கலாம். அதுக்கு முதல்ல சாராயத்த தலைக்கு மாசத்துக்கு இவ்வளவுதான்னு நிர்ணயம் பண்ணனும். எப்படினா, ஒரு குடும்ப அட்டையில எத்தனை பேரு இருக்காங்களோ அத்தனை பேருக்கு தலைக்கு இவ்வளவு கிலோ சர்கரைனு ரேசன் கடையில விக்கிற மாதிரி, தலைக்கு இவ்வளவு அளவு சுத்த சாராயம்னு ரேசன் கடையிலயே வச்சு வித்துடலாம். அதாவது, சாராயத்தையும் குடும்ப அட்டையில சேர்த்திடலாம்கிறேன்.

எப்படியும் பெரும்பாலான பெண்கள் சாராயம் குடிக்க மாட்டாங்க. அதனால அவங்க பேர சொல்லி ஆண்கள் குடிக்கிறதுக்கு பதிலா, எத்தனை பேர் குடும்பத்துல சாராயம் குடிப்பாங்கனு அவங்களே முடிவு பண்ணி விண்ணப்பம் செய்யனும். இப்ப ஒரு வீட்டுல குடும்பத்தலைவர், அவர் மனைவி, அவர் அப்பா, அம்மா, அவரோட மகள் மகன்னு மொத்தம் ஆறு பேர் இருக்காங்கனு வச்சிக்குங்க, எப்படியும் அந்த மூனு பெண்களும் சாராயம் குடிக்க மாட்டாங்க. தாத்தாவும் குடிய நிறுத்தியிருப்பாரு. அந்த மகன் குடிச்சா வீட்டுல தர்ம அடிதான் கிடைக்கும். குடும்பத் தலைவர் குடிக்கிறாருனு வச்சிக்கிட்டா, அந்த குடும்ப அட்டைய வச்சி ஒருத்தருக்குண்டான அளவு சாராயம் மட்டும்தான் வாங்க முடியும். இதுல என்ன சிறப்புனா, குடிக்கிறவங்க என்ன குடிக்கிறாங்க, எவ்வளவு குடிக்கிறாங்கனு அவங்க குடும்பம் கண்கானிக்க முடியும். இது பலரையும் அளவா (ஏற்கனவே அளவாத்தான் சாராயம் கிடைக்கும்கிற சூழ்நிலையில) குடிக்க விடும். "குடிக்கிறவங்களுக்கும் தாங்கள் மத்தவங்களுக்குத் தெரியாம ஏதோ தப்பான விசயம் செய்யிறோம்கிற குற்ற உணர்வுக்கு பதிலா ஒரு சமூக அங்கீகாரம் கிடைக்கும்."

அதோடையும் இந்த குடும்ப அட்டைய மின்னணு முறையில மாத்தனும். அப்பத்தான் எவ்வளவு சாராயம் மொத்தமா மாதம் தேவைப்படுது, எவ்வளவு சாராயம் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்குனு அரசும் தெரிஞ்சிக்கமுடியும். அப்ப, எந்தெந்த குடும்ப அட்டைகளுக்கு சாராயம் விற்கபட்டிருக்குனு காவல்துறைக்கும் தெரியும். இபப்படிப்பட்ட தகவல்கள ஒரு சர்வர்ல உடனுக்குடன் ஏத்திட்டா, சாராயம் வேண்டாம்னு எழுதிக்குடுத்த யாராச்சும் சாராயம் குடிச்சிட்டு காவல் துறையில மாட்டுனா, அவங்க கடத்தல் சாராயமோ இல்ல கள்ளச்சாராயமோ குடிச்சிருக்காங்ககிறது உறுதியாயிடும். 

காவல்துறைக்கு கள்ளச்சாராயம் கடத்தல் சாராயத்த புடிக்கிறதுக்கு சொல்லித்தரத் தேவையில்ல. தடைய மீறி கள்ளிறக்க விவசாயிகள் முடிவு பண்ணப்போ, எந்தெந்த டாஸ்மாக் கடைகள்ல சராசரிக்கும் குறைவா விற்பனை நடந்திருக்கோ அந்தந்த கடைய சுத்தியிருக்க ஊர்கள்ல கள்ளிறக்குறாங்களானு சோதனை பண்ணாங்க. அந்தளவுக்கு அவங்க புத்திசாளிங்க.

குடிய ஒழிக்க முடியாதுங்கிறது இன்றைய நிதர்சணம். வள்ளுவர் அந்தக்காலத்துல பத்துக் குறள எழுதி குடிக்காதனு சொல்லியிருக்காருனா, நம்மாளுங்க கல்தோன்றி மண்தோன்றாக் காலத்தே வாளோடும் கள்ளோடும் முன்தோன்றயிருக்காங்கனு தெளிவாகுது. அதனால, அளவாக்க குடிக்கிறதுக்கு வழி செய்யலாம். அதிகமக் குடிக்கிறவங்கள, திருட்டுத்தனமாக் குடிக்கிறவங்கள வீட்டுல மாட்டிவிட்டுடலாம்.

இப்ப, நான் எப்பவாச்சும் குடிப்பேன். ஆனா வீட்டுல தெரியாது. இனி ரேசன் கடையில வாங்கித்தான் குடிக்கனும்கிற நிலை வந்தா, ஒன்னு நான் வீட்டுல உண்மைய சொல்லனும், இல்லாட்டி குடிய விடனும், இல்லாட்டி என் அப்பாகிட்ட மட்டும் சொல்லிட்டு அவர்கிட்ட கொஞ்சம் கடன் வாங்கிக் குடிக்கனும். இல்ல நண்பர்கள்கூட பகிர்ந்து குடிக்கலாம்னு பார்த்தா, அந்த பயலுங்க எல்லாரும் அவங்கவங்க வீட்டுல தர்ம அடி வாங்கிட்டு இருப்பானுங்க!!! எது எப்படி இருந்தாலும் என் வீட்டுக்கு நான் என்ன பண்றேனு தெரிஞ்சிடும். அது வரைக்கும் நல்லதுதான்.

Hitler and Britain....

The Battle of Britain as it is called was not a German invasion intended to conquer Britain. The Germans had planned for Operation Sea Lion to conquer the British Isles after the operation Blitzkrieg and the Battle of France. But Hitler never seriously wanted to conquer the united Kingdom. He had a soft corner for the Brits as he felt their success in colonizing the third world was indeed a triumph of the Aryan race.

One interesting fact from the German campaigns of the WWII is that, the same Germans who experimented with Mass murdering, gave off a chance to Annihilate nearly 3,00,000 Allied soldiers during the Battle of France. The British Expeditionary force which was fighting along with the French against the Germans during the Blitzkrieg was out maneuvered and were forced to regroup at the French coast in Dunkirk. The Second Panzer (Tank) Division of the German Army headed by one of the Finest Tank commander in History, General Heinz Guderian had the BEF at the mercy of their Tank guns, But the German High Command ordered the Infamous "Halt". This single stupid command itself was the turning point of the War. The British Evacuated a total of 3,38,000 Soldiers from Dunkirk and this allowed them to believe that they had the blessings and allowed them to regroup, rearm and just wait for the correct time to invade the continental Europe along with the formidable ally in the Americans.

In a speech to the House of Commons, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill called the events in France "a colossal military disaster", saying that "the whole root and core and brain of the British Army" had been stranded at Dunkirk and seemed about to perish or be captured. In his 'We shall fight on the beaches' speech on 4 June, he hailed their rescue as a "miracle of deliverance".

As it was to be found out later, Hitler had the ultimate motive of the triumph of the Aryan race over others, The modern day assumption is that He never wanted to Invade or conquer the Britain and He just wanted to either test the Luftwaffe or give the British a Bloody nose. His Master plan was to colonize the east and propagate the Aryan Gene through ethnic cleansing, forced pregnancy with German sperms etc., as in the "Master plan east" or the "Generalplan Ost".
